BIOGRAPHY: "I appeared in this world in the mountainous Sarajevo plunging into mystery of west-east concoction of flavors, colors and sounds. This region imprinted me with melodic rhythm of its words, uplifting aromas of its forests, and seductive arabesques of its dwellings.

When I fell ill with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E. – better known as chronic fatigue syndrome) in 2000, my life took another turn. Introspection and social isolation became my fellow-travelers. I had to learn how to cope with being bedridden for long periods of time. My memory got affected too. This was the door to awakening of a sleeping poet. A camera that I received from my dear friend as a gift in 2003 channelled all of my remaining energy into photography and film. Photography and film became my refuge, the place of emotional expression and at times the only comfort in the days when M.E. was winning. Photography allowed me to connect, to observe and fill my soul with sweet beauty of life. In my thinking, I moved from evolutionistic to creationistic view of the world. I really can not believe anymore that life is a result of a chance. My illness was, in a way, real blessing.
